1. AI-Generated Educational Content Disclaimer

Sparky Ed uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content, explanations, practice questions, and tutoring responses. This content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. AI-generated material is provided for study and practice purposes only.

Sparky Ed is not a substitute for the official National Electrical Code (NEC) publications published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), for licensed instruction, or for the judgment of a qualified licensed electrician or instructor. Always verify code requirements against the adopted edition of the NEC in your jurisdiction, including any state or local amendments. NEC adoption cycles vary by state and change over time.

Nothing in Sparky Ed constitutes professional, legal, or safety advice. Do not rely on Sparky Ed for decisions affecting real electrical installations, safety, or compliance.

2. No Guarantee of Exam or Licensing Outcomes

Sparky Ed assessments, quizzes, and competency indicators are practice and self-evaluation tools. Passing any Sparky Ed assessment does not guarantee that you will pass a state licensing examination, journeyman or master electrician exam, apprenticeship requirement, or any other credentialing test.

Sentinel Field LLC makes no representation or warranty regarding exam results, employment outcomes, or licensure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentinel Field LLC is not liable for any exam, certification, employment, or financial outcome arising from your use of Sparky Ed.

3. Eligibility and Minor Users

• Users under 13 are not permitted to create or use a Sparky Ed account under any circumstances.
• Users under 18 may use Sparky Ed only through institutional enrollment (such as an accredited trade program or apprenticeship) or with verifiable parental or guardian consent.
• By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older, or that you have institutional enrollment or parental/guardian consent if you are under 18.

If we learn that a user under 13 has created an account, or that an underage user lacks the required enrollment or consent, we may suspend or delete the account.

4. Educational Certificates

Any competency certificates, achievement badges, or completion indicators issued by Sparky Ed are internal achievement indicators issued by Sentinel Field LLC. They reflect progress within the Sparky Ed platform only.

Sparky Ed certificates are not accredited credentials. They are not licenses, are not recognized by any licensing board or governmental authority, and do not satisfy any legal, apprenticeship, continuing-education, or licensing requirement.

5. Content Moderation and Acceptable Use

Sparky Ed is a professional educational tool. To keep it safe for all students, including minors:

• Conversations are monitored for safety. Student inputs and AI responses may be automatically screened and logged for inappropriate content and misuse.
• Attempts to circumvent content guidelines — including prompt injection, jailbreaking, or efforts to elicit profane, harmful, or off-topic content — may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of your account.
• Instructors have visibility into flagged interactions for students enrolled in their class.

6. Instructor Data Access

If you join a class or institutional program on Sparky Ed, you consent to your instructor viewing the following information associated with your account:

• Assessment and learning-profile results
• Session history (your tutoring conversations)
• Competency scores and progress
• Flagged message summaries (content-moderation events)

If you do not wish to share this information with an instructor, do not join a class.

7. Data We Store

To operate Sparky Ed, we store:

• Profile information (such as name, email, state, and trade)
• Assessment results and learning-profile data
• Conversation history from tutoring sessions
• Competency scores and progress data
• Flagged interactions recorded by content moderation

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for the duration of your account, and for up to 12 months after you submit a deletion request, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems (backup copies may persist for a limited additional period before being overwritten in the ordinary course).

9. Your Privacy Rights (California & Michigan)

California and Michigan residents have the right to request deletion of their personal data. To make a request, email elijah@sparkyfield.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sparky Ed and Sentinel Field LLC provide the service "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Sentinel Field LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content, exam or licensing outcomes, or interruptions of service.

11. Intellectual Property

Sparky Ed, the Triangulation Model, and all associated content, software, and methodology are the proprietary property of Sentinel Field LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform's assessment content or teaching methodology without written permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Sparky Ed after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Entity

Sparky Ed is operated by Sentinel Field LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Michigan. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
